The maps above show demographic change that happened in the town of Lynnfield. It provided the aerial image of the city in 1936 and 2007. Overall, a significant development is clear, illustrated by the massive industrial sites.

In 1936, the northside of Lynnfield was mostly packed with trees and the river. Besides, farmland and a cycle path exist along with the government office in between them, occupying the southern area. However, in 2007, a major construction of a residential site was built above the river. Following this, the massive farmland was demolished, converted into a golf facility. Similarly, the cycling route in the southeast of the city was modified, becoming a road.

In addition to this, a huge construction project was conducted in the central area of the city. A remarkable adaptation can be seen from the the shopping centre in the middle, followed by supermarket as a result of the merging sweet shop and butchery one. The flower shop in the southern part was converted to a travel agent. In contrast, post office and library remained the same.
