The map demonstrates how the residential area had been changed in 1900 and 1935.
The area had been modernised and developed. In 1900 there were many buildings such as: terraced houses, factory, shop, laundry, cafe, cottages for railway workers and some wasteland. By 1935 everything had been renovated, with new locations for instance flats, Bayley Mansions, new shops, park and a play area for children.
On the left corner there were terraced houses and Trent street, however by 1935 it had been replaced with flats. Moving to the southern part of the town, In 1900 there were railway line, cottages and wasteland, which had been demolished. And by 1935 in their place had been built Bayley street park, play area and shops. While the southern side saw several changes, the eastern area was also transformed. The cafe and laundry, which were located on the right hand side, had been expanded and relocated to the northeast, where was a wasteland. In addition, the Bayley street, which was located in the middle of the town, did not change its location. Finally, the factory, which stood on the north side in 1900 had been replaced with Bayley mansions by 1935.
