The two maps demonstrate a transformation of the layout of a Liverton Docks since 1980.
Overall, a place was drastically changed in, nowadays. The removal of warehouses, cranes, and ships, has created space for the establishment of education center, sailing club, kids playground, flood barrier ship museum, hotel, apartments, and parking space. Additionaly, the river has retained some its original features such as river, with minor alternation taking place.
Forty-five years ago, the liverton docks featured a conventional and minimalist setup. A river with six ships used to occupy a central part of the dot. On the behind of the river there were two storage facilities and cranes; a single crane and storage depot, with coastal line in the opposite direction.
Fast forward to 2025, the liverton docks has started to tailor its service to meet individuals needs. The former supply unit and hoisting equipment in the upper side of the river have been converted into education center and sailing club. Children play zone has replaced the space of the letter warehouse on the eastern side. Distribution center and hoist placed on southerand par of the river have been repurposed to function as hotel and apartments near to them a small additional parking facility was created for people’s use
There have been minor changes on the river, small six goods delivery ships have been removed and instead is build a Ship Museum. Apart from this on the river has also been constructed a new bridge with flood barrier.
