Given are maps which illustrate alterations in the town of Riverside between 1970 and 2009.

Overall, it is evident that this town has undergone a substantial transformation to both south and north side of the river.

Looking at maps in detail, there were some noticeable changes to north of the river in a span of 39 years. First and foremost, another residential housing area was constructed to north-west of the river to accommodate more people. On the other side, an airport and luxury residential area was erected. Just under the airport, the undeveloped land was used to build golf course to entertain residents.

Nevertheless, the transformation to the south of the river was not as noticeable as to the north. Firstly, a high-speed rail link was developed. Next to it, central business district was expanded largely, in favor of recreational are slightly changing its position. The one are that remained untouched was residential housing area.
