The maps illustrate the layout of Liverton docks in 1980 and the current one.
Overall, while the 1980 map shows that Liverton docks were mainly used to maintain proper harbour and storage services, the current plan is more urbanized. New facilities and amenities were added to create a residential-friendly atmosphere for dwellers to reside in.
In 1980, there was a river for ship traffic in the center of the map. There were three cranes and three warehouses that were utilized to lift heavy items and store goods; two of each were situated on the northern side of the docks, along with one crane and one warehouse in the southern side. There was also a coast on the eastern side that is not displayed on the 1980 plan.
Currently, the site has experienced a dramatic alteration as a whole. The river is no longer used to facilitate ship traffic; a ship museum has been constructed there as heritage. The river also has a bridge, which serves as a buffer against floods. On the southern side, a new hotel, coupled with apartments, has taken the places of a crane and storage houses. A parking space has also been added adjacent to the apartments, along with a pavement for a river walk just beside the river. On the other hand, residential amenities, such as an education center, a sailing club, and a playground for children have been built on the northern side of the current plan.
