The following map describes the Museum looked in 1990, as well as in 2010 that changed slightly compared with 1990’s museum appearance.
Overall, it can be explained by two features, which consist of interal area and external area.
When it comes to outdoor space adjacent to museum, there are 3 siginificant change. First of all, the most biggest change is an expansion of car park towards south direction from 1990 to 2010. Depending on this situation, the garden was eliminated and replaced by another car park and then the road to main road could be enlarged so it is readily apparent that the access from the car park to the main road becomes more easier than before. Besides the place that existed the cottage originally was changed into the cafe so the it could be given convenience for the visitors to solve thirst and huger easily. Except for those, in case of garden, it had been kept in the same way.
Internally, the shop was become more bigger towards west and then depening on that situation, the exhibition room that reminded us of letter of ‘L’ was alternated to vertical shape. And also, the wall blocked between the two exhibition rooms was become absent. So, that could give the people enlargement of space.
In conclusion, although there were not much big differences, it seems pretty clear that the space surrouning the museum was changed for customer’s amentites.
