The two maps illustrate the various changes of an art gallery from 2005 to the present.
Overall, it is clear that the art gallery has become more accessible for the disabled, with the most noticeable changes occurring on the left. The other side, however, has remained unchanged.
One of the most striking transformations has been the division of the E.R 4 on the left-hand side of the gallery into two equal-size rooms with distinct functions; being for temporary display and for children’s area. Furthermore, the gallery office adjacent to the ER 4 has been completely demolished, offering visitors more open spaces inside the hall. Additionally, there has been a replacement of a gallery shop with the café in the left-top corner, with an addition of a vending machine outside the shop, making it more convenient for customers going shopping.
As for the entrance, it has remained unchanged over the years. However, there has been a new ramp for wheelchairs right outside, providing the disabled easier access to the gallery. Meanwhile, the reception area has been moved to the middle of the room, closer to the main entrance. On the top of the hall, the stairs have been also removed to the left, making way for new lifts. Finally, the three exhibition rooms on the right-hand side of the map has undergone no changes since 2005.
