Two maps illustrate the suburb of the town of Fosbury in 1980 and 2015. Overall, the area underwent remarkable alterations, specifically in residential, commercial and recreational fields.
Regarding residential changes, the terraced houses in the top-right corner of the 1980 map had been demolished, and new housing had been rebuilt on the left side of the layout, replacing the park by 2015. Furthermore, the block of flats in the center had been flattened and made room for a new roundabout. These infrastructure alterations, along with the construction of car parks in the top-right and bottom-left corners, helped to modernize the road system.
In terms of commercial and industrial changes, a large supermarket and a car park had been erected in the top-right area by 2015, displacing the grocer’s shop and the terraced houses. The fields in the bottom-right had been converted into an industrial area with warehouses. Finally, as for recreational alterations, the former tennis courts in the bottom-left had been demolished and replaced by a sports center, while the park was relocated closer to the new roundabout.
