Overall, it is obvious from the graph and trends that there was a substantial growth in the books read by men from 2011 to 2014. In terms of women the trend considerably dropped in 2013. However, men and women had the same rate in 2013.
According to what is shown, regarding men the number of books read by them grew dramatically. The rate went upward from 2011 to 2013, it doubled from around 4000 books to 8000 books. Then, it remained constant in 2013. However, after that period, there was a noticeable rise which touched a peak in 2014 when the number of books was almost 15,000.
In terms of women, the trend fluctuated over that period. There was a marginal rise from almost 3,000 books in 2011 to 3,000 in 2012. Moreover, there was a considerable upward trend from 2012 to 2013 until it reached 9,000 books. However, the graph shows a dramatic fall after 2013 until it reached 7,000 books in 2014.
