Hi Anna,

First all thank you for inviting me to Chris’ surprise party. He will really love your idea and will enjoy it as he has been very busy lately. Planning a celebration for him with family and friends would help him pause from his busy schedule. Not to mention the Great Gatsby theme he had always wanted since college would be very unforgetable for him.

However, as much as I would love to attend; I cannot as I have a last minute work travel to Perth the day prior to the party. I am afraid I cannot reschedule this trip as I will be meeting one of our biggest clients.

Chris knows about my trip and we have plans for his post birthday celebration when I am back. We will have a three-day trip to Gold Coast as my birthday gift for him.

I hope you guys will have a blast on the surprise party.
