Dear Mr and Mrs Collins,
It was great to hear from you that you have planned a surpirse- 25th birthday party for Chris. I would like to thank you for sending me the invitation, but unfortunately I would not be able to see him on that day, as my cousin’s enagagement has been planned on the same day.
I remember, Chris always used to get overwhelmed on his birthdays when we, college friends used to arrange small surprise brunch for him during college days. I am sure he will love the surpise you have planned for him. As you mentioned in your message, that you have also invited our other college buddies, I am sure that it will be the most amazing gift for Chris, as he have not met anyone from college since graduation, and it has been almost 5 years now.
If my cousin’s enagagement would not be on the same day, I would not have missed this great chance to meet you all and especially, Chris. Her ring ceremony was fixed a month ago and its my own family affair so I cannot leave it unattended.
Also, her marriage is in the following month and I will send you guys the invitation. I am sure you guys will come as Chris always wanted to attend an Indian marriage and this would be the best one to attend.
Hoping to see you on the wedding and wishing Chris- a very happy birthday!
Yours truely,
Kashish
