Overall, the percentage of people watching internet has drastically increased over the years, further dominating other sources. In contrast, radio has the lowest percentage of people, dropping significantly over the years.
In 1995, tv dominated the market with 70%, followed by newspaper and radio around 58% and 52% respectively. No viewership was recorded for internet at that time. This significantly changes in 2010, where internet had 30% people while radio accounted for only 42%. Newspaper and tv had around 43% and 60% respectively, a sharp decline from previous years.
In 2020, internet surpasses radio and newspaper with 40% viewership, whereas radio and newspaper accounted for 30% and 32% respectively. A sharp fall was observed for tv with only 55% people watching it. This fall is further projected at 50% in 2025, whereas internet will dominate other sources at 58%. Similar decline is projected for newspaper and radio at 30% and 20% respectively.
Overall, it is projected that by 2025 internet will have the highest percentage of people, whereas radio, newspaper and tv are projected to fall sharply.
