The diagrams demonstrate the proportion of spending time for doing various tasks on a working day over 50 years starting in 1958.
It is clear that working and sleeping comprised a significant percentage in 1958. Additionally, while the time adult spent on every other activities increased,the percentage spent for going out and sleeping declined .
According to the charts, working and sleeping contributed a considerable proportion 33 percent and 32 % respectively in 1958; however, two proportion had a opposite fluctuation in 2008. The time spent for working rose 7 percent while the hours for sleeping downed from 32% to a quarter after 50 years . In 2008, the percentage of going out reduced to one third compared to the proportion of 50 years before.
Meanwhile, the time for relaxing had a change from 8% to 13% in 2008. In 1958, the time people spent on other tasks was three-fold more than time for traveling to work. On the other hand, the ratio of two activities was both equal to 8% after 5 decades.
