The amount of the United States started at 3% (almost the lowest figures), after which it witnessed a sharp growth up to 18%(the second place of the chart) at the end of the period. Despite of the fluctuations, the percentage of Denmark sustainable held the second place until 2006, and stayed in the third place – roughly 17% in 2011. The proportion of the use of renewable energy in Finland reached a peak of almost 25% from the start, but it later dropped slightly to 23% in the last year of the period.
