The provided maps illustrate the changing layout of one university sports centre between 2007 and the present day.
Overall, the sports centre has undergone a significant transformation, with notable updates including the construction of permanent, multi-purpose buildings, the addition of a running track, and an increase in the number of teaching facilities, as well as the replacement of the tennis court with a squash court.
Looking at the northern and central sections of the centre, in the 2007 layout, there was one grass football pitch. Meanwhile, the centre featured three main buildings adjacent to each other: a building containing 20 teaching rooms, a swimming pool and a tennis court situated to the south of the building. However, in the current configuration, the original grass pitch has been converted into an all-weather pitch, which is now surrounded by a running track. The swimming pool has remained in its original location, while the tennis court to the south has been replaced by a squash court. Additionally, the capacity of the teaching facilities has more than doubled, rising from 20 to 47 rooms.
Turning to the southern part of the centre, this area has transformed significantly. Three temporary teaching huts that previously occupied this part of the site have been completely removed. In their place, a large building has been constructed, which is divided into 4 sections, including a first aid room, a clinic, and a lab, along with a two storied teaching facility.
