The maps illustrate some obvious and pale changes in a station in two different time periods between before and after. Overall, the station called Toronto Go Train Station has experienced a renovation.
Before the re-construction commenced, under the ground was an existing transit concourse allowing passengers to move between parts of the station. There was a main track level located in on the ground. Moreover, directly lain below the main track, a pile was constructed deep underground to ensure solidity and well-endured capacity.
During the renovation stage, everything on the ground has remained unchanged while erecting activities have been conducted underway below. A framework has been used to support building the lower ground level, so the utilisation of the transit concourse has been stopped working temporarily. After finishing the redesign, the old transit part has been divided into two different parts. The first part is a new transit concourse narrowed down slightly while the other below part is a newly built pedestrian retail level. In addition, the height of the underground foundation is alleviated in order to make room for these two new parts.
