Overall,it is clear that average expenditure on transport in Japan was considerably higher than in Malaysia, while spending on housing was bigger than in Japan.However,visiting health care centers was in negligible amounts in both countries.
Housing accounted for 34 percent in Malaysia; however, in Japan, this figure consisted of exactly 21 percent. Nevertheless, Japan’s citizens spent much of their budget on transportation; consisting of 20 percent in Malaysia, this number is relatively small at 10 percent.
The majority of Japan’s population spent most of their money on food (24 percent). This figure is almost the same in Malaysia (27 percent). Moreover, expenditure on other goods and services was always in high percentages: 29 percent in Japan and 26 percent in Malaysia. Yet, the lowest quantity of expenditure was on health care centers in both countries; it was between 3 percent and 6 percent.
