The pie chart gives information about how much electricity was generated from different sours of fuel in UK between 2014 and 2018.
It is clear that, three categories remained the same, which were gas, oil and others, nuclear, but gas was by far the most significant source of energy. Coal saw slight, while, renewables increase steadily over the 4 year period.
In 2014, coal and gas were the main source of energy in UK, generating around 28.4 % and 30.1 % of energy production respectively. On the other hand nuclear produced 22.5 % of all energy provided. Meanwhile, “renewables”, “oil and others” provided a negligible amount.
By 2018, coal experienced significant decrease by approximately 10 % and also nuclear saw small fall to only 1 % over the period given. By contract, “renewables” increase significantly average 11 % than other productions. At the same period, gas and “oil and others” remained the stable.
