Initially, in 1991, the housing owned was 22 million, while in 2007, it reached 27 million homes. A noteworthy feature is that the home owner escalated from 60% in 1991 to exactly 70% in 2007. In terms of the private renting, it remains consistent throughout the year, securing its third place.
Regarding social renting, it was diminished from 23% to 17%, however, still in the same rank. Furthermore, social housing was reduced as well from about 6% down to only 2%. The overall structure of the pie chart stays constant despite the sudden drop of the two categories.
