The pie chart illustrates destinations of nursing graduates in the UK in 2009, while the table gives data about percentages of people who worked in different sections of health sector.
Overall, the large proportion of undergraduates chose to work in health sector whereas the hospital nursing was by far the most popular section among graduates.
In terms of pie chart, working in a health sector was the most prefered option for graduates, accounting for whopping 84%. Working and studying option came next, which was nowhere near close, at 8% twice as much as than those who were unemployed. Further studying and other options remained the least favored, showing mere 2% each.
When it comes to table, it reveals that the most popular section was in hospital nursing which amounted to almost three quarters (72.9%). Ranked second were midwives and community nurses, representing just over a tenth for both, at 12.4 % and 10.3% respectively. ‘Other’ section was roughly two times higher than paramedics, showing 2.7% and 1.3% in turn. Mental nurse, meanwhile, registered the least percent with only 0.4% people choosing to work in there.
