Overall, the majority of individuals spent almost their time in sleeping and working, however, the figures for sleeping declined. In addition, other activities by far the smallest sources of doing different activities.
In 1958, an adults spent most of time working and sleeping, each accounting for nearly third of working day. In addition, around more than 19% of time was spent on going out with friend or family, while the number of relaxing at home and travelling to work were relatively minor, at 8% and 6% relatively. The remaining about 2% went to other activities.
Therefore, the percentage of time spent on sleeping and relaxing at home and going out with friend or family dropped considerably to 25% and 6% respectively. In contrast, the time for working witnessed a significant rise of 7%. Similarly, there was a growth in the time allocated to relaxing at home, traveling to work and other to 13%, 8% and 8% in that order.
