The pie chart illustrates the distribution of Oldtown’s students who enrolled in various different extracurricular activities in 2020 included: book club, sports, drama club, choir, photography, pottery, art club.
Overall, the majority of students are drawn to activities that are either physically engaging or artistic activities. Sports, Choir, and Art Club attract the highest numbers, while clubs such as Pottery and Photography have the lowest participation.
It is clear that sports has the largest percentages, with almost a quarter of students involved. Followed closely by choir with just over a fifth of participants, while art club just attracts under a fifth of the total. These three clubs make up over two-third of the after-school clubs, indicating that pupils favor physical and artistic activities.
On the other hand, drama club, which has about 14% of the students, ranks in the middle for popularity. Also, book club, with only 9% of the students, is comparatively less popular, although it still manages to attract a small portion of the student community. In addition, the clubs with the lowest participation are photography and pottery, which account for just 6% and 5% of the participation.
