The two charts compare data about the biggest carbon dioxide producers by country and per person in 2015.
It can be clearly seen that China and the United States produced almost half of the world’s CO2 emissions in that year, while Saudi Arabia has the highest amount of CO2 emissions on an individual level. Australia, Canada and South Korea were not among the emitters globally while they have high amount of CO2 emissions on a per person basis.
In 2015, China has the highest amount of global carbon dioxide emissions with and it is followed by produced by the USA. India, Russia, Japan and Germany produce almost the quarter of the global emissions and the rest has from all other nations of the world.
In term of the emissions per person, it is clear that Saudi Arabia has the highest number which is 16 metric tones per capita. The USA, Australia and Canada nearly contributed the same amount. South Korean citizens were also in this top 6 list, accounting for 12 metric tonnes and this is followed by Russian people with 10 metric tonnes of emission.
