Overall, the amount of males detained were three times higher compared to their female counterparts. In addition, public drinking majorly contributed to the reasons for the arrests for both male & females, although there were some arrests that remained unclear. Generally, the amount of males apprehended in every crime surpassed the females except for assault and public drinking.
For male category, 32% of the population were taken into custody. Most of them were arrested due to public drinking, drunk driving, and other miscellaneous reasons. In contrast, apprehension of the males due to assault, theft, and unknown answers were less frequent.
On the other hand, only 9% of females got taken into custody by the authorities. The reason for arrests overlapped with their male counterparts with public drinking ranked first, however the second largest reason for detention were assault and unknown causes. Also, the percentage of females arrested because of theft, drunk driving, and breach of order were relatively similar.
