Overall,Chinese,Italian and Indian restaurants accaunt for the wast majority of establishments,wheras Thai,Middle eastern,other asian and other Europian restaurants make up considerably smaller proportions.Chinese restaurants are the most common, while the Middle Eastern and Other Asian categories are the least prevalent.
Chinese restaurants constitute 30% of all restaurants in the city, making them the largest category. Italian restaurants are the second most common, at 25%, followed by Indian restaurants, which represent 22%. Combined, these three types account for 77% of all restaurants in Gastronomome.
The remaining 23% is divided among four categories. Thai restaurants account for 6%, while Other European restaurants make up 7%. Middle Eastern and Other Asian restaurants each represent just 5% of the total. Therefore, each of these categories is considerably less popular than the three leading types. In particular, the proportion of Chinese restaurants is approximately six times that of both Middle Eastern and Other Asian restaurants.
