The pie chart and table above shows the total value and percentage of fish supply from 3 different countries, specifically China, Canada and others, to the US from 1988 to 2000.
As is observed, the total value had increased gradually throughout 3 survey years, 1988, 1992 and 2000. Noticeably, Canada was less preferably exporting their fish source, decreasing the percentage of importation to the US between 1988 and 2000.
With respect to the value, its figure increased approximately 2 billions each year, particularly from 6.57 in 1988 to 8.52 in 1992 and to 10.72 in the last year of periods. Turning to the source of imported fish to the US, Canada was the main supplier of fish to the US in 1988, contributing 60% in total. However, the others took over and led the trend by 42% of fish imported to the US in 2000 compared to 27% in 1988.
Regarding China, its figures experienced an upward trend in all 3 years, recording 13% in the first year of the period. Following the trend, it increased to 20% and 30% in 1992 and 2000 respectively. On the other hand, others dominated the whole quantity of fish importation with 46% recorded.
