The three charts display how much continents accounted for consumption of resources and how these resources used for various purposes, along with dispensation of the world population.
Overall, the population mainly used resources for food and other needs. The world’s leading countries are responsible for most of them, even though they only constitute a quarter of all the population.
According to the first chart, the food received a quarter of resources, while housing accounted for half amount used by food – 12%. Similarly, transportation and clothing were responsible for a quarter of resources spent in total, respectively 18% and 6%. However, other areas made up nearly half of the total consumption.
Regarding the proportions of people living in all regions and their usage of reserves, while America and Europe are home to only 28% percentage of the human population, they contributed to utilizing more than half of the all capital. On the other hand, despite of constituting the majority of the population, other regions only exploited 40% of resources.
