The given pie charts compare student’s main reasons for choosing a certain university between the year 1999 and 2019.
Overall, it is clearly that Academic Reputation accounted for the largest portion in both years. Conversely, Other reasons remained the smallest section. Facilities and Course Availability slightly increased while Location and Recommendation showed no significant change over the period.
In details, Academic Reputation was the dominant factor in both years, although its proportion declined from 40% in 1999 to 30% in 2019. On the other hand, Other reasons experienced a small increase from 5% to 7%, but it continued to represent the smallest proportion overall.
Meanwhile, the percentage of students choosing a university because of Course Availability rose slightly from 15% to 18%, and Facilities also increased from 10% to 15%. Recommendation, however, stayed unchanged at 10% in both years. As same as Location, which remained stable at 20% in both years.
