The pie charts below illustrate the percentages of students’ satisfaction level with different types of university amenities in the UK in 2007.
Overall, it is apparent that students were highly satisfied with all facilities provided by university. Notably, undergraduates were very satisfied with school rooms, while postgraduates showed a preference to university cafeteria the most.
Undergraduate students were very satisfied with school rooms at university which accounted for 62%, while these percentages increased for postgraduates category by 1%. Moreover, 25% of undergraduates were not satisfied with their rooms at all and only 13% of them showed quite satisfaction. Meanwhile, postgraduates numbers declined with remaining figures of 23% and 13%.
Regarding other changes, university cafeteria was highly selected by postgraduates at 73%, although those who were quite and not satisfied with cafeteria accounted for 11% and 16% respectively. Furthermore, undergraduate students preferred university cafeteria at 52%, whereas only 22% and 26% were quite satisfied and not satisfied with this facility. Lastly, when it comes to school amenities figures for postgraduates who were fully satisfied were 43%, even though these percentages had risen from 43% to 52% for undergraduates. However, undergraduate students had a lowest percentage for school facilities at 14% compared to postgraduate students which had higher figures of 25%. Those who were quite satisfied remained almost same for both classification of students at 32% and 34%.
