The given charts demonstrate the percentage of waste products dealt with through different processes in three countries.
Overall, it can be seen that recycling is the dominant category in the Republic of Korea compared to the other countries. Meanwhile, Sweden and the United Kingdom have the highest figures for the other methods, underground and incineration, respectively. In addition, the United Kingdom has more procedures to handle waste than the other countries do.
Looking firstly at the Republic of Korea, more dangerous wastes are processed through recycling than through other techniques, recorded at 69 per cent. Following that, the proportions of waste products handled through underground and incineration are the two smallest, listed at 22 and 9 per cent each. Secondly, in Sweden, underground has the greatest percentage of wastes in comparison with the other procedures, accounting for 55 per cent. After that, the remaining techniques, recycling and incineration, have similar figures for dangerous wastes, listed at 25 and 20 per cent, respectively.
Turning to the United Kingdom, most waste products are dealt with through underground, with the figure recorded at 82 per cent, the highest percentage shown on the charts. The percentages of chemical treatment, dumping at sea, and incineration are below ten, recorded at 8, 8, and 2 per cent, respectively.
