The pie charts demonstrate how working adults in an unknown country spent their time from 1958 to 2008.
Overall, both the pie charts are colorful, each of them consists of six sections with percentages of the day spent by working adults on several range of activities like going out with family/friends, travelling to work, sleeping, relaxing at home, sports, and working. These charts have a difference of fifty years, and the difference in the percentages of activities is pretty evident. The pie chart for 1958 does not present statistics for the section of ‘playing sports’, whereas the pie chart for 2008 consists of the statistics for playing sports.
Additionally, it can be observed that going out with friends/family between 1958 and 2008 has significantly declined from 19% to 6%, which describes a drastic change in the choices of the preferred activities over the fifty years. The percentage of the day spent on sleeping has also decreased from 32% to 25%, whereas the percentage of relaxing at home has increased from 8% to 13%. Moreover, the percentage of working as an activity increased from 1958 to 2008, from 33% to 42%. These charts reflect how the differences in the preferences of the time spent by adults on activities have changed in 50 years.
