The two pie charts compare the proportion of energy consumption by five different sources and 2000 and 2010 .
Overal, the use of solar and other renewable sources increased, while the consumption of petrol slightly decreased over the period.In 2000, coal and gas were the main sources of energy, accounting for around 30% each. Petrol was also widely used, making up 29% of the total. In contrast, solar energy and other sources were less common, at 6.5% and 5% respectively.
By 2010, the proportion of solar energy had risen to 10%, and other sources had almost doubled to 9%. Petrol usage fell considerably to 20%, while the shares of coal and gas remained roughly the same, at around 31% and 30% respectively.
