Overall, in 2010 academic reputation and course Availability were the main factors in students’ choice of university, while in 2020, although these factors remained important, their significance had decreased. In contrast, the importance of location rose, while tuition fees and facilities remained stable .
From the commencement in 2010 academic reputation (35% ) and course availability (25%) were the dominant reasons students’ choice. However, by 2020, both factors decreased by 5%, with academic reputation falling to 30% , and course availability to 20%. In contrast, the importance of location increased substantially, from 15% in 2010 to 25% in 2020.
Tuition fees and university facilities showed marginal changes between 2010 and 2020. Tuition fees stood at 10% in both years, while facilities changed negligibly with a 5% difference between 2010 and 2020.
