The charts illustrate the percentage of online sales for retail showrooms in Kathmandu for the years 2015 and 2020. Overall, both periods show a similar distribution for each item. It is evident that clothing and cosmetics became increasingly popular items during these years.
In 2015, cosmetics were not as popular as clothing and food items in the online market, capturing only 22% of total sales. However, by 2020, this figure significantly increased to 32%, making it the largest percentage for that year, followed closely by clothing and food items. Similarly, furniture also saw a slight increase, rising from 18% in 2015 to 23% in 2020.
Clothing peaked at around 35% in 2015, representing the highest percentage among all items. However, interest in purchasing clothing declined in 2020, resulting in a fall to 30%. A similar trend occurred with food items, where sales dropped from 25% in 2015 to 15% in 2020.
