The home ownership become more popular than social renting and housing compared to the past while private renting is kept the same.

In 1991 almost quarter of all people in the UK had to social rent the houses and more than half had their own ones, while in 2007 with the increasing number of population in the UK the numbers of social renting people didn’t even go up to one fifth falling for 6% and home ownership went up to 70% gaining 10% compared to 1991. This shows that people started to chose house owning over than any type of renting.

At the same time the number of private housing didn’t had any mutations by far and kept being on 11% while social housing went even lower from 6 to 2 percent by keeping the position of the least chosen variant.
