The pie charts below illustrate the percentage of students at one adult education centre taking various courses offered in 1985 and this year.Overall, some couorses were cancelled and added during the given period. In addition, while modern language classes constituted the largest proportion of all courses in 1985, IT is the most preferred course in this year.
In 1995, modern language classes accounted for the lion’s share, at 24%. While fitness and dance courses were the second largest preference with 22%, local history, art and cookery lessons made up similar fractions, indicating 15%,17%, and 14%, respectively. Finally, music appreciation represented the least significant category, accounting for 8%.
In this year, new IT courses make up the dominant slice, amounting to 27%, while percentages of fitness and dance remain at 22%. The art and the modern language classes experience a decrease, accounting for 15% and 17%, respectively. Meanwhile, cookery classes increase to 19%. Comparing to first chart, several courses, such as music and local history are cancelled.
