The pie charts illustrate the changes in the proportion of learners experiencing a diversity of offered courses at the educational center from 1985 until now.
Overall, it is evident that there has been a steady decrease in art and modern languages, with the latter witnessing the most dramatic drop, while a slight increase is recorded by cookery. Additionally, fitness and dance generally remain unchanged although there has been the disappearance of local history and music appreciation in favor of IT lessons throughout the period.
In 1985, the course taking the lead was the modern languages (including French, Germany, and Spanish), at 24%, after which it underwent a decline to 17% at the ending point. A similar pattern, but to a lesser extent, can be seen in the figure for art classes whose percentage has dropped from 17% to 15% over the years. The amount of students enrolling in cookery lessons just occupied 14%, followed by a gradual growth to these days, which is 5% higher than that of the initial year.
Turning to the remaining courses, there is no alteration occuring in the proportion of fitness and dance, hovering around 22% throughout the period. Moreover, the rate of pupils in domestic history classes was recorded at 15%, followed by a lower figure by music appreciation, at 8%, becoming the lowest option among six selected groups in 1985. Notably, the adult education nowadays introduces a new IT course replacing the former music and history classes, and having the highest figure of participants compared to the others, at 27%.
