The provided pie charts illustrate the ratio of three types of job opportunities; Software Engineers, Sales Associates and Teachers, posted in 1995 and 2020. Overall, Sales associates and Teachers were in demand in 1995; however, a positive growth of Software Engineers was significant so that it surpassed the other two in 2020.
In 1995, there were high demand of Sales Associates which occupied 45% of job postings, followed by Teachers which accounted for 40%. It is clear that these two roles were popular in the market and contributed 85% of total job postings during this period. On the other hand, Software Engineers saw less expectancy for job needs, which contributed 15% only.
However, after 25 years, the needs of Software Engineers rose dramatically. In 2020, it nearly tripled and occupied proportion of 40% while both the other two designations; Sales Associates and Teachers were presented 30% each. There were a clear shift from Sales Associates and Teachers to Software Engineers.
