The percentage of people who used different types of transportation to go to work among three countries — including car, bicycle and walking, and public transportation — during 2010 and 2015 is shown in the pie charts. While it is noticeable that car was the widely used mode of transport in both years, bicycle and walking were far less popular — being used for only less than one fourth of all transportation.
When concerning the transportation used in 2010, it can be seen that the majority of people chose to use cars as their mode of transport in both country A, B, and C. Specifically, more than three fourth population of country C, used cars. On the other hand, approximately 15% to 25% of the people from all countries used public transportation, and only 5% to 15% chose to cycle or walk.
Although cars remained the most popular mode of transport, it can be seen that there was an increase number of people who chose public transport, walking and cycling from the previous years. The number of people who used bikes and chose to walk in country C, for example, has increased from 5% in 2010 to 8% in 2015. As for public transport, country A’s statistics has in creased from 25% to 30%.
Overall, even though cars were mostly used in 2010 and 2015, as time passed, more people tend to adopt other forms of transportation. This could be seen from an increase in the number of people who chose public transport, bikes, and walking in country A, B, and C.
