The two pie charts illustrate the results of a survey about how often people used social media in two different years, measured in percentage.
Overall, in 2011 social media was used the most on a weekly basis by people while in 2014 it was recorded that the most people often used social media. Of particular note, the figure for the people who never used social media remained the same throughout the period.
At the beginning of the period, 12% individuals had an access for social media on a daily basis while 31% people used social media often. Both sectors displayed an upward trajectory but the figure for people who used social media often was far more pronounced. The proportion of people who often used social media increased by 11% points; in contrast, that for daily usage rose by 4% points towards the end.
Regarding the remaining details, only 5% of people never used social media in 2011 while social media was used weekly by 52% of people in the same period. Notably, the proportion of people who have never used social media remained unchanged over the period. By contrast, the figure for people who used social media weekly dropped to 37% in 2014.
