The pie charts give information about the results of a survey into the utilization of social media by individuals in two various years. All figures are given in percentages. Overall, often and daily categories recorded upward trends while weekly showed a decreased figure. It is interesting to note that the category “never” had an unchanged proportion.
Focusing on the increases first, in 2011, 31% of people were often use from social media, which was significantly higher than that of daily users at 12%. After three years the users of both categories rose by 11% and just 4% respectively.
Looking at the remaining two classifications of social media usage, weekly had the highest proportion in the year 2011. Conversely, by 2014 this figure dropped dramatically to 37%. When it comes to the last category, only 5% of individuals never use social media in 2011. Notably, after three years this figure remained unchanged.
