The pie charts compare the changes data took place in residential water use during the period 1988 to 2008.
Overall, statistics of residential water use became advanced. The expenditures of kitchen increased doubled while water usage of garden feel by half.
As for bathroom use, the figure increased from 25% in 1988 to 29% in 2008. In terms of kitchen use, the proportion doubled from 15% to 30%. It represents a considerably larger increase in kitchen water consumption compared with bathroom use.
Turning to the remaining categories, all three experienced a decrease between 1988 and 2008. Toilet water usage declined gradually from 18% in 1988 to 14% in 2008 and was one of the lowest figures among others. By contrast the use of garden was the smallest one among the remaining categories, with the statistic from 20% in 1988 and was halved to 8% in 2008. The last figure with decreased statistic – the water usage to washing clothes, the figure dropped from 22% IN 1988 to 19% in 2008.
