In general, most winners succeeded in thriller and action films in both two years. Comedy had the least awards, however.
It is noticeable that the number of thriller’s champions was the highest, at nearly a half in 2003. Besides, the second most fraction at 13% of action film. The winners of some genres such as documentary, romance and science fiction approximately valued figures at under ten per cent. For some reasons, comedy contributed the least in the total pie charts, just three per cent.
For the year 2008, the ratio of champions at thriller films was decreased, nearly two fifths. Although action category still maintained its position, the proportion of these films’s awards slightly went down for about a per cent. The trend of horror, science fiction and documentary were similar, which gradually increased to ten per cent, 11% and 17% respectively. Comedy and romance remained stable, at 3 per cent and 12%
