In 2005, olive oil, canola oil and sunflower oil were most widely used compared to all other 6 oils, with 35%, 25% and 15% usage respectively. Soybean oil and peanut oil both individually made up 10% of all usage in 2005 as compared to the least popular coconut oil with 5% usage relative to all others.
Moreover, in 2020, the use of peanut oil and coconut oil expanded to 30% and 15%. Conversely, the use of both soybean and peanut oil diminished to 5% each in 2020, whereas the use of olive oil reduced to 30%.
Overall, the usage of peanut oil and coconut oil increased in 2020 by 5%, while the relative consumption of olive oil, soybean oil and peanut oil decreased by 5% each in 2020 as opposed to its usage in 2005.
