The charts compare the proportion of electricity production by fuel source expent in Australia and France in 1980 and 2000.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that in Australia the main source of electricity was coal. Meanwhile, in France, coal and natural gas were the majority of sources in 1980 then it changed to become nuclear power in 2000 as primary source.
To begin with, Australia produced electricity with overall 100 units with half of the sources was coal in 1980. However, in 2000, the total production increased to 170 units with the highest coal sources. Oil and natural gas decreased from 10 and 20 units respectively. Additionally, Hydro power was increased by 16 units. Besides, nuclear power was not used in Australia during those years.
Shifting to France, in 1980, the total production two factor increased from 90 units to180 units in 2000. The significant change was the nuclear power leap dramatically which was from 15 units to 126 units. Moreover, natural gas and hydro power dropped by 23 units and 3 units as the smallest users from other sources Additionally, The oil source decreased by 5 units. The remaining category was coal stable in 25 units in both periods.
