Overall, Chrome was the most preferred platform throughout the period, while Edge showed a significant increase, nearly doubling its share in two years period.
To begin with three differing browsers: Chrome, Firefox and Other decreased by roughly 2% each, in the following two years. At the beginning of the period, the shares for Chrome, Firefox and Other stood at 69%, 9% and 8%, respectively. The figures for Chrome and Other exhibited decline of 2% to almost two-thirds and 6% (individually) in 2021 compared to that for Firefox, which dropped minimally to 8%.
In contrast, the figure for Safari rose gradually whilst it was steep increase that for Edge. Initially the Safari started at 9% before increasing to exactly one-tenth by 2021. Despite ranking as a least used browser in 2019, Edge began at 5%, reaching to 9% by the end of the period.
