The pie charts compare the usage proportion of laptop browsers from 2019 to 2021. Overall, there were no significant changes, with only Edge increasing its usage rate, almost doubling the amount of percentage. It is also worth mentioning that Chrome remained the most used app throughout whole period, with a slight decrease. Also, there are three websites that did not go over 10% in proportion.
As mentioned above, Chrome had the biggest proportion and slightly decreased, from 69% to 67%. “Other” app’s proportion was at 8% in 2019 and exhibited a downward trend, dipping at 6% in 2021. In contrast, Safari slowly increased, moving between 9% and 10%.
Edge, on the other hand, was the only desktop website that increased its share dramatically, from the initial 5%, to the eventual 9%. However, this website never got a share over 10%. Firefox was not popular and almost remained stable, having only a 1% fall in share.
