Overall, Vietnam mainly exports agricultural products to the US, with coffee and fruit dominating. In contrast, the US exports largely industrial goods to Vietnam, particularly aircraft parts. The total value of US exports is also significantly higher than that of Vietnamese exports.
Vietnam’s exports to the US total approximately $51 million. Coffee accounts for the largest portion at $23 million, followed by fruit and vegetables at $16 million. Seafood and rice are exported at similar levels, with values of $4.4 million and $4.3 million respectively. Garments and other products each contribute $2 million, representing the smallest shares.
In comparison, US exports to Vietnam reach around $172 million. Aircraft parts dominate, valued at $72 million. Other major items include machinery at $30.5 million and miscellaneous products at $35 million. Fertiliser is worth $16.5 million, while cotton and cars make up the smallest proportions, at $12 million and $6 million respectively.
