The provided three pie charts compares a yearly expenses of one government school in Canada during three different decades, 1990, 2000, and 2010. The annual expenses divided into five different categories: Teacher’s Salaries, Facilities & Maintenance, Learning Resources, Technology, and Other. Generally speaking, teacher’s salaries and “other” demonstrated a decline trend, dropping over the three decades. On the other hand, technology and facilities & maintenance show an upward trend. Learning Resources remain constant in 30 years.
As it presented in the graph, half of the expenses used for teacher’s wages. However, it dropped by five percent in every ten year. During 1990, 55% of the annual spending was allocated for this category, but in 2010 only 45% utilized for this category. The decline trend also represented in “other”, it dropped by around 3% in 2000 and 4% in 2010.
Conversely, money allocated for technology shows a gradually increase. In 1990, it was only allocated for 5%, it was increasing by around 3 to 4 percent in 2000 and 2010. The budget used for Facilities and Maintenance improved by five percent in three decades.
Meanwhile, the annual spending of Learning and Resources remains unchanged within the years. Since the first year, it accounted by 10% and represents a static change over the years.
