The pie charts illustrate the percentage of social media users depending on their age on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
It is clear that Facebook made up the largest proportion of users of social media in all three years (2011, 2012, and 2013). The percentage of the use of Facebook decreased year-on-year for the given period, plumbed the depths in 2011. All the figures except for Facebook rose gradually.
More specifically, falling to 38%, the figure for Facebook users account for the largest proportion. By contrast, the number of people who use Pinterest comprise a significantly lower percentage, with 5%, 6%, and 8% respectively.
With regards to other social media channels, the figure of Twitter users showed a slight increase from 21% in 2011 to 25% in 2013. Likewise, in 2011 Linkedin generated 10% which rose marginally to 15% in the last 3 years. The percentage of Google+ hit its peak in the end of the period, at 14% in 2013.
